IMTS 2018
There’s something special about IMTS. Held every two years in Chicago, this global manufacturing event brings together the people and ideas shaping the future of machining—and IMTS 2018 was no exception. From September 10 to 15, Union MT joined the show at Booth 338374, South Building, Level 3, to showcase our latest technologies and connect with manufacturers across North America.
What stood out most during the exhibition wasn’t just the foot traffic—it was the depth of conversations. Many visitors came with very clear expectations: faster cycle times, higher precision, and smarter integration. Our 5-Axis / 5-Face Machining Center drew attention for exactly that, offering multi-face simultaneous processing that helps reduce setups while boosting surface quality.
Alongside it, our Multi-Spindle Machining Center and CNC Horizontal Turning Center addressed the demand for high-throughput turning and milling in one setup—particularly relevant to automotive and aerospace visitors. Meanwhile, our Ultra Precision Product Series sparked interest from those working with tight-tolerance components in optics, semiconductors, and medical parts.
